Hey mom!
It's my preparation day today and I'm able to email for 30 minutes. I have been having so much fun at the MTC! I hope you have gotten my letters! I think I have sent 3 or so far. Still no package yet though, hopefully it's here soon.
The MTC was super overwhelming the first week and I had no idea that we wouldn't get nap time! Haha just kidding:). NO NAPS ARE HARD! But my body is finally starting to adjust to the long 16 hour days. Oh yeah and guess how much weight I have gained in the first week? TEN POUNDS! HOW THE HECK?!?!?!!
They feed us soo much and the food is good, sometimes... and just about every meal upsets EVERY missionaries stomach. You'd be surprised how often there is someone in the bathroom here. Tell dad you don't need reservations to go camping in these bathrooms - it's first come first served for sure. Since I have gained ten pounds already, I have decided to go on a diet (if that's even possible here at the MTC). For breakfast and lunch, half of my meals are going to be fruits, while half of my meals for dinner is going to be vegetables. BLEH! But I guess it's needed if I don't want to look like a sumo wrestler before leaving the MTC; gotta stay a ninja!

Today we went to the Provo temple and it was beautiful! I can see it from where I sit in the classroom:). My Spanish teacher is Hermano Lucero and I have really learned a good amount of Spanish! It's hard because he speaks in the mission language the majority of the time but he translates every so often. We are normally in class for 3-6 hours every day besides Sunday. Sitting there for so long is what drains me haha. On Tuesday all of the missionaries had a devotional and there were TEN out of the twelve apostles there! It was CRAAAAZZYY! The first time ever seeing an apostle in real life I got to see ten of them! Each of them brought a spirit that was so peaceful, calming, and loving. You could feel it anywhere in their presence. I want you guys to also look up this talk by Elder David A. Bednar, it was a talk during Christmas here at the MTC and was EXTREMELY inspirational:)! I don't know what it is titled, so just look up "Elder Bednar Christmas MTC talk" haha:).
Tell everyone I love em and give Choma lots of hugs and kisses for me! Who cares about Tucker, he's a noob...
Okay, fine... One hug and kiss for Tucker... and Bandit... and the fishies... and the birds... BUT THAT'S IT!
Love you guys:),
Elder Alex Annand
